The Rainbow Serpent is the great creator spirit who weaved her body throughout the land, creating lakes, oceans, mountains, plains and caves. I have drawn the Rainbow Serpent in a tropical paradise, free from the worry of the world, to highlight my strong connection to the ocean. My mob, Goreng Goreng is coastal land near Bundaberg in Queensland and although I live far from the beach, every time I go there, I feel at home, swimming amongst the crashing waves. I have loved swimming, water and the ocean since I was little. When I was younger I wanted to be a mermaid and a pirate. This connection I have with the ocean has been here my whole life and will always stay with me, wherever I choose to go.
